Stop Thinking Like a Loser—Start Acting Like a Winner

Stop Feeling Overwhelmed—The Simple System That Brings Clarity

Stop Thinking. Start Doing

Ever feel stuck in your own head?

You’ve got goals, you’ve got ambition—but instead of taking action, you’re overthinking everything. You’re planning, analysing, tweaking... and getting nowhere. The problem? You can’t think and do at the same time.

The more time you spend thinking, planning, or trying to perfect your approach, the less time you spend actually doing what needs to be done. Thinking feels productive—it tricks you into believing you’re making progress. But most of the time, it just creates unnecessary resistance.

You overanalyse simple tasks, plan yourself into procrastination, and think your way into a state of paralysis.

This isn’t just a daily problem. Over time, resistance compounds. What starts as hesitation about cleaning your workspace or writing an email grows into feeling “behind” in your career, fitness, or personal goals. And the more you think about catching up, the further behind you feel.

Resistance has got to be bad…

The Zone Where You Thrive

The antidote to overthinking isn’t more thinking—it’s action.

But not just any action. The goal is to operate in a state of flow: where you’re fully engaged, focused, and instinctively moving forward.

Flow is where everything clicks. It’s the zone where you’re so immersed in the task that time flies by, challenges feel effortless, and you’re not stuck in your head.

Think back to a time when you felt unstoppable—whether it was crushing a workout, hitting a groove at work, or fully enjoying a hobby. You probably weren’t overthinking or second-guessing yourself. You were present, doing the task at hand, and it felt natural.

Flow isn’t some mystical or meditative state that requires a ritual to enter. It’s simple:

  1. You have a clear task to focus on.

  2. You know how to do it (or have the instructions you need).

  3. You’ve eliminated distractions (your phone, notifications, environment etc).

When these conditions are met, resistance disappears. You stop overthinking, and you just do.

The king of flow

Why You’re Stuck

If flow feels so natural, why don’t we live in it more often?

The problem is mental overload. Trying to juggle too many tasks, decisions, and priorities in your head is like running a computer with 100 tabs open. Your brain slows down.

This overload creates:

  • Resistance: Even simple tasks feel overwhelming.

  • Fear: You imagine worst-case scenarios and hesitate to act.

  • Paralysis: You’re so mentally drained that starting feels impossible.

The more ambitious you are, the more likely you are to fall into this trap. Intelligent, goal-driven people often struggle with mental clutter because they’re juggling so much at once.

The solution isn’t to “think harder”—it’s to think less by externalizing your thinking.

Resistance will tell you anything to keep you from doing your work.

The System That Frees Your Mind

Externalizing your thinking means getting everything out of your head and into a system that guides your actions without constant decision-making.

Here’s how to do it:

1. Let Tools Do the Thinking for You

Your brain is for solving problems, not storing them. Use tools and systems to manage tasks and eliminate mental clutter.

E.g. use apps like Asana to manage tasks & projects

2. Get Help From the Right People

You don’t have to do everything yourself. Offloading tasks to others clears up mental bandwidth for the things only you can do.

E.g. Hire a cleaner or get coaching from a personal trainer.

3. Create a Distraction Free Zone

Even the best systems won’t help if you’re constantly distracted. Clear your environment to stay focused and in flow.

E.g. turn off all notifications & install website blocking tools

By externalising your thinking and eliminating distractions, you’ll create the mental clarity you need to stay focused, productive, and in flow.

The godfather of habits

How Clarity Compounds

When you externalize your thinking and operate in a state of flow, you unlock the ability to make massive progress across multiple areas of your life simultaneously.

For example, I’m currently working toward:

  • Hitting £20k/month in commission in my sales role.

  • Cutting down to sub-15% body fat.

  • Growing my YouTube channel to 10k subscribers.

  • Building strength and improving at MMA.

  • Spending weekends hiking in the mountains, skiing, or shooting with my girlfriend.

Balancing all of this isn’t about working harder—it’s about using systems that allow me to act without hesitation.

Systems eliminate resistance, free up mental energy, and ensure you’re consistently moving toward what matters most. Over time, these small, intentional actions compound into massive results.

The Path Forward

Right now, pick one area of your life where you feel stuck or overwhelmed.

Here’s what you can do today:

  1. Brain dump everything in your head. Write down every task, idea, or responsibility that’s weighing on you.

  2. Identify your top priorities. Choose 1–3 things to focus on that will move the needle.

  3. Set up one simple system or eliminate one distraction. Using a tool like Asana or Notion.

You don’t need to fix everything all at once. Small, consistent steps are the key to breaking through resistance, staying in flow, and achieving clarity.

Action is where progress happens. Take the first step today, and you’ll be amazed at how far you can go.
